Train service resumes in Kashmir | KNO

Train service resumed on Wednesday after remaining suspended for security reasons in south Kashmir, where a top commander of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) was killed in an encounter with security forces on Tuesday. However, train service from Srinagar-Badgam in central Kashmir to Baramulla in north continued yesterday and all trains operated as per schedule, a railway official told UNI. He said train service was suspended after an advisory was received from police. However, a fresh advisory was received to resume the train service today, he said. Therefore, trains will chug on Badgam-Srinagar to Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region.
